Mr. & Mrs. Landrum: The Reception

This is a flashback to last summer. Stephanie and Matt ran off to Tybee Island in Savannah to have a private wedding ceremony on the beach. When they returned home, the two wanted an intimate gathering at home. Seafood was a must and the idea of a low country boil came to mind, but they needed something a little neater and more managable, since the gathering would be in their home. I created a seafood chowder and made them a fresh and light line up of finger foods. This is the spread.

There was my customized herb butter, loaded with rosemary, thyme, oregano and goodness.
The crostinis came in three varieties: Carmelized Onion, Plain and Carrot.

This is the steaming corn. We couldn't do the crab boil, but I still wanted guests to enjoy some corn.

I then grilled it a little for some char, and skewered it. The herb butter made it all complete.

The kids loved these.

And the adults enjoyed the chowder.

A lot.
